There's another technique too
Stacey why did you do a knit row?? I would have just carried on in seed.

anyway
if you can imagine carryon in pattern - k1, p1 - instead of putting the yarn to the front after the k1 allow it to rest over the top of the right hand needle and do the p1, now lift the extra loop and the k1 stitch over the p1 stitch,
carry on casting off in this manner for the full round - you could create that extra loop between every stitch but in aran yarn i find it a bit bulky so do it on alternate stitches.

i did a knit as wasnt sure i could co from the moss stitch :oops: thanks ladies. will try tonight x

yep just make sure you carry on in pattern - that link i put in is good for ribbing/seed cast off expecially
