35+1 today

Annoyed that I couldn't get a 36 week mw appointment for next week, so I will be a day off full term by the time I do see her. Shouldn't matter too much really. I just like hearing baby's heart beat, it is so reassuring :pregnant:

Been spending my time organising the baby's room (although baby will be with us in our room at first), so been putting clothes, swaddlepods, sleepingbags...

right, so thought i'd better write something pregnancy related now, no idea how far on we actually are just yet, all i know is Taliesin is just 21weeks old and i have to be at least 6 weeks pregnant. have been feeling vile so far this time, really sick, living on red bull like it should be drip fed, seems to be the only way to kick my energy off, but most things going down right now are coming back up pretty soon too, which is making me think this time it's a girl. i could be so wrong, but been on...

So I thought it was about time I got back on this and gave a bit of an update. We got back off holiday last Friday and life has been almost back to normal. We had a lovely time in Northumberland, the weather was nice and we spent pretty much every day on the beach. Austin loved playing on the beach and paddling in the sea and having all the fresh air and sand and other children around him to play with (which just makes me more sad that we will have to wait so long for baby number 2). We've just finished our first (Almost full week) in cloth. Lil Man was 4 weeks old on saturday and is now over 9 lbs.

we've used mainly
Itti Bitti D'lish
Motherease OS as day and night nappy
Bamboozles
Coolababy
Pop ins as a night nappy

so far we've only had a few minor leaks, the coolababy aren't a good fit at the mo (peed straight out of the leg) the itti bittis area good daytime nappy but i did have a minor poo leak ...

Now that I've been using cloth for an entire week I thought I would update on my experience so far; Including my opinions on the different cloth nappies that I borrowed from the nappy library.

So far I have been pleasantly surprised at how hassle-free using cloth nappies has been. I expected a lot of extra work. Washing nappies takes no extra effort considering I wash our laundry a few times a week anyway, not to mention that my daughter has had no rashes since changing over.
