50 shades of grey . discuss

Postby LilMrsAverage » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:19 am

Ok - so we were on route in the car to my brothers and the MIL had finished reading it so I took it with me ( like a bit of girly trash for the bath ;) )

It has been knocking around for ages and someone suggested my friend read it on holiday so I thought I would read it too, I read it in an evening - :giggle: - and thoroughly enjoyed it!

It is trashy it isn't the best written book I have ever read - it is a softer version or erotic porn for the masses - but I really enjoyed it - it made me laugh - I may have to create my own sashaying inner Goddess just so I have one!

So love it hate it refusing to read it?

I hadn't heard of it until earlier this week and now it seems the whole world is talking about it. I even heard a discussion in the playground yesterday :giggle:

It's not the sort of book i would usually read at all, but i may have to give it a try just so i don't feel like the only one who hasn't a clue!

Pretty much this I must have been in a bubble.

I just started it last night. I'm not overly impressed so far, but then I haven't got to the naughty bits yet lol!

It is very badly written, I think my 13yo could do better (though hopefully not on the rude bits!) but I guess its a nice easy trashy read.

This too! I only heard about it the last week or 2 and now it is everywhere :giggle: I have heard good and bad reviews but think it may have to be or of those I read just to see what the hype is about

I caved a couple of days ago :giggle: don't really get much time to read these days though but so far so good! It is more chick lit than the cover would suggest but saying that I've not reached the juicy bits yet ;)

As others have said I had never heard of it until everyone started going on about it, have to say it hasn't made me want to follow the masses and read it, bit like draw something, I never fell into that trap either!!
