I really want to say Greetings to the New Brunette by Billy Bragg - no name in the title but that cry of "Shirley!" was the first line I thought of when I read this thread.

We do this sort of thing a lot altho it is usually me and my mate Mike from work - we come up with playlists to give people who are leaving/ who have had ops (suggestions for my carpal tunnel ops included The First Cut is the Deepest and Under My Thumb.......)

We also always do a "best of the year" with some mates of ours, there's 5 or 6 of us in any given year and it's a great way to find new bands that you might have missed during the year.
